I hope it’s the next Mezcal - misunderstood & underrated in the marketplace. For the past few years I’ve been very much against the “Bourbon-ification” of Armagnac, led by Bhakta’s terrible example. I hate speaking ill of Raj as I am a big Whistlepig fan but his Islay finished Armagnac not only tastes lousy, it helps destroy the great traditions behind Armagnac. I understand the desire of Bhakta & others to take advantage of the Bourbon craze from a business standpoint but please stay away from my beloved Armagnac as a 25+ year fan of the region & traditionally made Armagnac.
