And please dont forget ( and I know you wonβt) that gamay is not considered a grape of Bourgogne, even though itβs gown in Burgundy. Iβm drinking a Fleurie now - a not so light southern gamay and it is a fun wine. As for that kir Royale - when I lived in Burgundy and spent time in the Dijon IKEA , not only did the cafeteria have meatballs but it had Epoisses and okay itβs not kir Royale but a plain old kir cassis with that Epoisses sure made the Dijon IKEA my fave! You readers know that only kir from Dijon or Burgundy is KIR. Nothing else tastes like as good in aligote or champagne as those black currants
